Description

The project is being developed by Juwi Renewable Energies, MVV Energie and Wolf Wind Farm. Others, Red Rocket South Africa, H1 Holdings and Jade-Sky Energy are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 34.35%, 33.15%, 27.4% and 5% respectively.

The project is expected to generate 352,019MWh electricity to offset 374,400t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in April 2024.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Eskom Holdings SOC under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors involved

Vestas Wind Systems will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project.

Vestas Wind Systems is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the wind power project for a period of 15 years.
