Description
China Energy Investment and Hydro-Electric are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 75% and 25% respectively.
The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 300,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Development Status
The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in August 2002.

Hazell Bros Group and Orano were selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.
Woolnorth Wind Farm (Woolnorth Wind Farm I) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V66-1.75 MW turbines. The phase consists of 6 turbines with 1.75MW nameplate capacity.
Woolnorth Wind Farm (Woolnorth Wind Farm II) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V66-1.75 MW turbines. The phase consists of 31 turbines with 1.75MW nameplate capacity.
Woolnorth Wind Farm (Woolnorth Wind Farm III) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V90-3.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 25 turbines with 3MW nameplate capacity.
Transfield Worley Services is the O&M contractor for the wind power project.
