Xayaburi is a 1,285MW hydro power project. It is located on Lower Mekong river/basin in Xaignabouli, Laos. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 2012 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2019.

Description
The project was developed by CK Power Public. CK Power Public, Global Power Synergy Public, Electricite du Laos and Electricity Generating Public are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 30%, 25%, 20% and 12.5% respectively.
Xayaburi is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 726 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project are 39m and 28.5m respectively. The project generated 7,406 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $3,500m.

Electricite du Laos and Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand are the power offtakers from the project.
