Xiangqi is an 80MW hydro power project. It is located on Xiangjiang river/basin in Hunan, China. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 2009 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2011.

The project was developed by Huaneng Hunan Xiangqi Hydropower Development and is currently owned by Huaneng Power International with a stake of 100%.
Xiangqi is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 389 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 7.2m. The project generated 329.7 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $131.8m.
The project construction commenced in 2009 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2011.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to State Grid Corporation of China under a power purchase agreement.
Zhefu Holding Group was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of bulb turbines, each with 20MW nameplate capacity.
