Description

The project was developed by Gulf Yala Green. J-POWER Holdings (Thailand), Others, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, JERA, Diamond Generating Asia, Kyuden International and Mit-Power (Thailand) are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 49%, 25.33%, 12.71%, 5.98%, 2.99%, 2.99% and 1% respectively.

The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 60,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Wood waste which is a kind of wood by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2003 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in August 2006.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.

Contractors involved

Gulf Yala Green is the O&M contractor for the project.
