Yancheng Fengji Biomass Power Plant, China

Yancheng Fengji Biomass Power Plant is a 30MW biopower project. It is located in Jiangsu, China. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 2006.

The project is developed and owned by Yancheng Fengji New Energy Electricity Power.

The project generates 180GWh electricity thereby offsetting 234,005t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $98.072m.

Yancheng Fengji Biomass Power Plant is a combined heat and power (CHP) project. Wood waste which is a kind of wood by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in 2006.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to East China Grid under a power purchase agreement with a contracted capacity is 147.6GWh.

Contractors Involved

Luoyang Zhongzhong Power Generation Equipment was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project. The company provided 2 units of C15-3.43/0.981 turbines, each with 15MW nameplate capacity.

Jilin Sanyi Environmental Protection Boiler supplied steam boiler for the project. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 450Degree Celsius. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 3MPa.
