The project is currently owned by Chongqing Youshui Hydropower Development with a stake of 100%.

Youchou is a reservoir based project. The project generated 390 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $125.9m.

The power generated from the project is sold to Central China Grid under a power purchase agreement.

Zhefu Holding Group was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of francis turbines, each with 60MW nameplate capacity.
