Description
The project is currently owned by Elektrownie Szczytowo-Pompowe.
Zarnowiec is a pumped storage project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 16.445 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 119.3m. Zarnowiec underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2006-2009. The project generated 1,165 GWh of electricity.

The turbines for the hydro power project have been supplied by Andritz Hydro and CKD Blansko Holding.
