Description
The project was developed by Hunan Power Construction.
Zhexi is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 3,570 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project are 75m and 52m respectively. The project generated 2,722 GWh of electricity.
Zhexi (Zhexi Phase I) consists of 6 units of francis turbines with 74.6MW nameplate capacity.
Development Status
The project construction commenced in 1958 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1962.
Contractors Involved
Zhexi (Zhexi Phase II) is equipped with Tianjin Alstom Hydro francis turbines. The phase consists of 2 turbines with 250MW nameplate capacity.
Tianjin Alstom Hydro supplied electric generator(s) for the Zhexi (Zhexi Phase II).
