Zilanba (Bailong), China

Zilanba (Bailong) is a 102MW hydro power project. It is located on Bailong river/basin in Sichuan, China. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 2003 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2007.

The project was developed by Zilanba Hydropower Development. China Huadian, SINOHYDRO Bureau 5 and Guangyuan Yulong Hydropower Development are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 65%, 25% and 10% respectively.

The hydro reservoir capacity is 35 million cubic meter. The project generated 440 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $107.24m.

Development Status

The project construction commenced in 2003 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2007.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to State Grid Corporation of China under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Dongfang Electric was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of bulb turbines, each with 34MW nameplate capacity.
