The project is being developed by Eneco UK, Groningen Seaports, Wirsol Solar and Zonnepark Valgenweg. The project is currently owned by Zonnepark Valgenweg.
Zonnepark Delfzijl Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 16 hectares.
The project is expected to generate 17.765MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 6,500 households. The project cost is expected to be around $19.317m.
The solar power project consists of 57,000 modules.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
