Netherlands-based offshore access solutions provider Ampelmann has secured five new offshore wind contracts in the North Sea.
The projects will involve the installation of two A-type and three E-type systems on vessels operating in the North Sea.

As per the terms of the contract, Ampelmann E-type system has been installed on the Viking Neptun vessel to enable supporting works at the Merkur wind farm in the German North Sea.
Of the five awards, four contracts were secured by Ampelmann’s office in Hamburg, Germany that opened recently.
Among the five contracts, Ampelmann has agreed to provide a five-month commissioning campaign with vessel owner Eidesvik.
Ampelmann Offshore Wind business development manager Tim Börner said: “After a successful collaboration last year, we are excited to work with Eidesvik again in the coming winter season.”

By GlobalDataThe company claims that its E-type provides safe offshore access in rough sea waters and can compensate wave motions up to 4.5m Hs. It further added that the contracts will help the company due to growth in the offshore wind market, as well as demand for Walk to Work (W2W) operations.
Ampelmann has appointed Caspar Blum, who will serve as the business development manager in Hamburg and support growth in offshore wind segment.
Börner further added: “It is great to have Caspar on board, especially at a time when demand for our solutions and services in the industry is growing.
“We look forward to further increase our footprint in the renewables sector and the new addition to our team ensures that we can keep delivering the quality our clients expect.”
To date, Ampelmann has enabled safe transfer of 400,000 people and seven million kilograms of cargo in the offshore wind sector worldwide.
