By GlobalDataThe Lupinus energy storage projects are intended to support renewable energy integration and improve grid stability in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) market.
Through the partnership, e-STORAGE and Sunraycer aim to develop secure and scalable energy storage solutions, which are crucial for creating a more adaptable power grid.
Sunraycer CEO David Lillefloren said: “Partnering with e-STORAGE on the Lupinus projects represents a significant step forward in Sunraycer’s mission to advance sustainable energy infrastructure across Texas and beyond.
“These projects both strengthen the reliability of the ERCOT grid and underscore the critical role of battery storage in supporting the clean energy transition.”
Canadian Solar has delivered nearly 170GW of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules worldwide over the past 24 years. Its subsidiary, e-STORAGE, had shipped more than 16 gigawatt-hours of battery energy storage solutions globally as of 30 September 2025.
In April 2025, e-STORAGE secured a contract from power generation company Colbún to supply a 228MW/912MWh BESS for the Diego de Almagro Sur project in the Atacama region of Chile.
