ElectroRoute and Low Carbon have entered four balancing power purchase agreements (PPAs) for a combined capacity of 140MW across four UK solar projects.
This strategic partnership aims to facilitate the efficient integration of clean energy into the national grid.
The projects are the Birch solar farm (40MW), the Sandon Brook solar farm (49.9MW), the Fern Brook solar farm (30MW) and the Long Meadow solar farm (18MW).
Owned and operated by Low Carbon, the farms are set to play a pivotal role in the country’s transition to sustainable energy sources, able to generate renewable electricity to 50,000 homes each year.
ElectroRoute will provide round-the-clock market access and trading services to maximise the solar assets’ output.
ElectroRoute head of client origination Brian Kennedy stated: “We are thrilled to partner with Low Carbon on these four solar projects, which will contribute significantly to the UK’s renewable energy capacity. These PPAs reflect ElectroRoute’s commitment to supporting the energy transition in Great Britain and providing bankable solutions to renewable energy developers.
