UISOL, a consulting and systems integration services group of Alstom, has been selected by SaskPower to provide an asset management optimisation solution.
UISOL will provide the technical and business services to implement the Asset Investment Planning (AIP) solution within SaskPower’s IT environment that comprises project management oversight and installation of the software.

In addition to this, UISOL will provide training for SaskPower personnel.
SaskPower, which is the electric utility serving the province of Saskatchewan, has partnered with Clevest to provide AIP solution.
UISOL systems integration practice lead Terry Nielsen said the AIP solution offers utility personnel with the tools and means to optimise the electrical grid, operations and maintenance spending in order to prioritise decision-making and to manage risk while accounting for asset condition and performance over time.
"It fits nicely into Alstom Grid’s overall strategy to cover the asset management domain from electrical equipment expertise up to enterprise integration know-how," Nielsen said.

By GlobalDataClevest CEO Thomas Ligocki said the company’s mobile solutions are already being used at SaskPower to help with its advanced metering infrastructure implementation.
"We are very excited to capitalise on this success with our AIP solution, which is currently being used to identify, justify, and optimise capital portfolios at major energy companies in Canada and the US," Ligocki said.
