Korea Electric Power Corporation has announced its intention to acquire Cogentrix Energy Power Management from Carlyle Group in exchange for approximately $30m.
Cogentrix Energy Power Management owns the 30MW Alamosa solar generating plant in San Luis Valley near Alamosa Colorado, US. The power plant started commercial operations in May 2012.
EDF EN Canada has divested a 15% stake in the 350MW Riviere-du-Moulin wind project in Canada to the Regional County Municipality (RCM) of Charlevoix and Fjord-du Saguenay (5%), the Innu of Mashteuiatsh and Essipit First Nations (5%), and the Huron Wendat Nation (5%).
EDF EN Canada now holds 42.5% ownership rights in the project and provides management services, whereas EDF Renewable Services continues to render operations and maintenance, as well as full-time remote monitoring from its operations control center (OCC).
