FirstEnergy subsidiary FirstEnergy Generation Corporation has closed the sale of its two peaking plants in Ohio for an undisclosed amount.
The 444MW Richland Plant in Defiance, Ohio, and the 20MW capacity Stryker Plant in Stryker, Ohio, have been sold to Richland-Stryker.

Richland-Stryker is a unit of privately held Quintana Infrastructure & Development.
FirstEnergy operated both plants as peaking facilities, placing them in service only during periods of high electrical usage.
