Installation of the wind turbines is expected to be carried out by 2019.

MHI Vestas Offshore Wind CEO Jens Tommerup said: “The order affirms the strength of the V164-8MW as a very competitive turbine for the German market, where distance from the coast and deeper waters demands a larger and more powerful machine.”

"Installation of the wind turbines is expected to be carried out by 2019."

DeBu will be situated 77km from Northland Power’s other German offshore wind project Nordsee One.

Upon completion, DeBu is expected to generate enough energy to meet the needs of more than178,000 households.
