Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Engine & Turbocharger (MHIET) has signed a deal to supply 147 of its MGS Series diesel gensets to Indonesia’s state-owned electricity provider PT PLN (Persero).
The gensets are set to be progressively installed on stand-alone power systems situated across 22 districts in Kalimantan and Sulawesi.
Production and delivery of the newly ordered MGS1500C gensets are due to be completed by the end of this month.
MHIET subsidiary Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Engine System Asia (MHIES-A) will be responsible for procuring the generators and other related equipment and components.
The MGS Series’ local dealer in Indonesia Berkat Manunggal Jaya (BMJ) will install and test 19 gensets in Kalimantan districts and three in Sulawesi districts, respectively.
So far, MHI has delivered more than 600 gensets to Persero.
