German manufacturer Nordex Group has received orders from Turkish firms Bakir Enerji and Marmarares Elektrik to supply wind turbines for two windfarms in Turkey.

Under the contract, Nordex will supply a total of 19 N117/3600 turbines with a combined capacity of 68.4MW for the Esenköy and Kürekdagi projects.

"Delivery will take place at the beginning of fiscal year 2018."

Nordex will install nine N117/3600s on 106m tubular steel towers at Esenköy, which is located in the Marmara region in the north-west of Turkey. The remaining ten turbines will be set up on the 106m towers for Kürekdagi in the same region.

In addition, Nordex has signed a premium service agreement for all of the turbines covering a period of five years.

Delivery will take place at the beginning of fiscal year 2018, while construction of the two windfarms is scheduled to begin in the late summer of 2017.
