SEMAFO to construct 26MW transmission line in Canada
SEMAFO has entered into an agreement with National Electricity Company Sonabel for the construction of a 73km high-voltage transmission line in Canada.
SEMAFO has entered into an agreement with National Electricity Company Sonabel for the construction of a 73km high-voltage transmission line in Canada.
The 26MW-capacity transmission line will be connected directly to the national power grid and will also deliver power to its Mana mine in Burkina Faso.
The total cost of the project is $19m, while SEMAFO will invest $9.5m which will be reimbursed to the Corporation by Sonabel over an eight-year period, following commissioning scheduled for 2013.
