Shaw has renewed its contract with Exelon Generation for the maintenance, modifications and construction services of 17 nuclear generating plants in the US.

It has been providing fleet-wide nuclear maintenance service to Exelon since 2001.

Six of the reactors are located in Illinois, three in Pennsylvania and one in New Jersey.

Ron McCall, Shaw Plant Services Division president, said the company’s experience in nuclear power design, procurement, engineering, construction and decommissioning allows it to provide start-to-finish service to the industry.

The value of the contract renewal has not been disclosed.
