“This is Ulusoy Enerji’s first wind project, and for the Nordex Group, another reference project with turbines from the Delta4000 series, this time in Turkey.”

The wind turbines will be installed at Söke windfarm, which is located near the city of Aydin in the west of Turkey and is slated for completion by the end of 2020.

Once completed, the wind turbines installed at hub heights of 105m at the facility are expected to generate and supply more than 286GWh of clean electricity per annum. The windfarm will be operated by Ulusoy Enerji.

Additionally, Ulusoy Enerji has also awarded a ten-year contract to Nordex to provide premium service for the turbines.

For this project, Nordex will manufacture rotor blades, anchor cages and towers in Turkey.

Nordex Group is not a stranger to the market in Turkey, as it secured three contracts from an existing customer in the country in April 2018.

Under the deal, Nordex agreed to supply N131/3600 and N131/3900 turbines, which will have a combined installed capacity of approximately 180MW.

Additionally, Nordex entered an agreement with the unnamed customer to provide multi-year services to turbines supplied.
