Pacifico Energy has commenced construction on two utility scale solar power plants in Japan, with a total capacity of 184MW.
The first 112MW (DC) solar power plant (also known as Bizen plant) will be built in Wake, Okayama Prefecture and a 72MW (DC) solar power generation facility (Yumesaki plant) in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture.

Located on a golf course site in Wake-gun, the Bizen plant will have the capacity to generate nearly 132 million kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity per annum and is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 90,000t per annum.
Electricity generated by the Bizen plant will be purchased by Chugoku Electric Power, pursuant to the Act on Special Measures Concerning Procurement of Electricity from Renewable Energy Sources by Electric Utilities.
On the other hand, the Yumesaki plant will have the capacity to generate 84 million kWh of electricity annually and is expected to reduce 42,000t of CO2 emissions on an annual basis.
The power generated by Yumesaki plant will be purchased by Kansai Electric Power, pursuant to the Act on Special Measures Concerning Procurement of Electricity from Renewable Energy Sources by Electric Utilities.

By GlobalDataBoth power plants are expected to begin operations in 2020. The two facilities are the second and third construction projects that Pacifico Energy started this year. In February, the company began construction on 55MW PV plant in Japan.
Pacifico Energy was also involved in the construction of two solar power plants in Kumenan and Mimasaka, Okayama, one in Osaki, Miyagi, and another unit in Miyazaki totalling 227.4 MW (DC). All the facilities are now in commercial operation.
