Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) has secured two orders from renewable energy independent power producer (IPP) ReNew Power to deliver wind projects in India.

Under the contract, SGRE will be responsible for constructing 100.8MW wind farm located in the Kutch district, in the state of Gujarat and a 76MW wind farm in Osmanabad district, Maharashtra.

Under the turnkey contract, SGRE has agreed to supply, erect and commission 48 units of SG 2.1-122 in Gujarat and 38 units of SG 2.0-114 wind turbines in Maharashtra.

In April this year, Siemens Gamesa secured an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) contract from Sembcorp Green Infra, a subsidiary of Sembcorp Energy India, to build a 300MW wind farm and install 143 SG 2.1-122 turbines at the site.

Siemens Gamesa entered the Indian market in 2009, and since then the company has completed 5.5GW of wind projects in India.
