The contract brings Tata Power Solar’s utility-scale engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order book to 4GWdc of capacity, valued at around Rs92.6bn.

EESL’s order is also expected to improve Tata Power Solar’s position as a solar EPC company.

Prior to this contract, Tata Power Solar had executed large-scale projects across various states in the country.

These include the 150MW Ayana project at Ananthapur in Andhra Pradesh, the 50MW Kasargod project and 105MWp of floating solar capacity at Kayamkulam in Kerala, the latter of which is currently in its implementation phase.

The company has also won 400MW of capacity in an auction organised by the state of Gujarat.

In January, Tata Power Solar received an LoA from Indian energy conglomerate NTPC to build a 320MW ground-mounted solar photovoltaic project.

Under the contract, Tata Power Solar agreed to acquire land and offer engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning services for the solar project on a turnkey basis.
