Wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has secured an order from Compañía Eólica Vicente Guerrero to build the 118MW Vicente Guerrero windfarm in Tamaulipas, Mexico.

As per the deal, Vestas will supply and install six V136-3.45 and 27 V136-3.45MW units delivered in 3.6MW power optimised mode.

Vestas chief sales officer Juan Araluce said: “GEMEX and Vestas together pioneered wind energy in Tamaulipas three years ago and we continue to push wind energy forward in the region.

“Vestas intends to deliver the turbines by Q3 2018 and is planning to commission the project by Q1 2019.”

“We have continuously set higher standards by delivering customised solutions that meet each project’s unique requirements.”
