The company plans to build the new reactor at the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) site in Clinton.
The initiative is backed by a grant of £443,058 from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council,
The deal includes 13 power generation plants with a combined installed capacity of 8.5GW.
Through a comprehensive approach, the two companies aim to mitigate risks proactively and reduce gird downtime.
The project includes the installation of 129 wind turbine generators and the construction of five offshore export cables.
The wind farm will generate 4.3 terawatt-hours (TWh) of energy annually.
The new facilities will bring the total nuclear power capacity of the country to 22.4GW.
Upper Hunter Hydro (UHH) will be responsible for the construction and operation of the facilities.
