Adani Green Energy has received a solar contract worth approximately $6bn from Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). As per the terms of the contract, the renewable energy developer will build 8GW of solar power capacity and a solar panel unit of 2GW capacity 2022.
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has approved a €450m credit line to fund the construction of the 497MW Fécamp offshore wind farm in France. The 71-turbine project is located 13km off the coast of Normandy. It is being developed by a consortium made up of EDF Renewables, Canada’s Enbridge, and German developer Wpd.
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has granted a $300m loan for facilitating 110MW of geothermal power projects in Indonesia, helping the country recover from the economic effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Developed by the state-owned company GDE, the projects are being set up at Dieng in Central Java and Pathua in West Java.
The Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund has released a request for qualification (RfQ) for the development of a solar power project with an AC capacity of 200MW. The project is expected to be commissioned by the fourth quarter of 2023. The successful bidder will co-own the plant with the Armenian National Interest Fund (ANIF).
