The Government of Maharashtra in India has announced plans to set up three solar power projects with a total capacity of 602MW. The renewable energy projects will be set up in three phases in the Vidarbha region of the state.

The agreement requires Schneider Electric to build four control centres to monitor and optimise the network. It will also set up more than 12,000 smart ring main units across the national network within the next 18 months.
