Vestas will repower the Lagoa Funda Wind Power Plant in Portugal for Iberwind under a new agreement.
The work includes engineering, procurement construction for six units of the V90-2.0MW turbine, and a 15-year service agreement.
Iberwind will replace 18 Mitsubishi machines with Vestas wind turbines, which will increase the capacity of the actual wind power plant by 20% based on a new legislation that allows for such an increase.
Vestas will begin delivering the wind turbines in May 2011 and the project is expected to be completed by August 2011.
Under the contract, Vestas will also provide its VestasOnline Business SCADA system and Condition Monitoring System solution.
