Datang Renewable Power has ordered 25 wind turbines from Denmark’s Vestas for its Alatan wind farm in Inner Mongolia, China.

With the order, Datang said it intends to expand its fleet of V80-2.0MW turbines by another 50MW.

The order includes transportation, installation and commissioning of the turbines along with Vestas Online Business SCADA solution.

The SCADA enables extensive monitoring and control of the wind farm providing full control of power production and a full overview of the operational status of each individual wind turbine, Vestas said in a statement.

Delivery of the turbines is due in the third quarter of 2010.
