Siemens will build two combined cycle power plants in India for Torrent Power.
The Dgen power plant, to be built in Dahej, southwestern Gujarat, will comprise three combined cycle units and generate 1.2GW of power.
The Unosugen combined cycle plant with a 400MW capacity will be built near Surat in Gujarat.
Siemens will also supply the main components for the two plants including four SGT5-4000F gas turbines, four SST5-5000 steam turbines, four hydrogen cooled generators, and the entire electrical systems and the SPPA-T3000 instrumentation and control system.
The firm will also provide long-term service for the plants under the contracts.
