Carbone+ - Removable Insulation and Fire Protection Covers

Established in 1982, Carbone+ designs and manufactures thermal insulation covers and fire protection covers for the chemical, petrochemical and power industries.

For power and nuclear power stations Carbone+ solutions answer to the most stringent requirements for removable insulation and also offer a significant capital gain. With our covers, heat loss can be reduced by up to 90% and obtain a relatively short term return on investment (between one and three years).

Carbone+ makes a number of thermal and insulation products that are tailor-made for the equipment concerned and can easily be re-fitted after inspection or maintenance. The insulation covers are engineered for a perfect fit to irregular shapes, such as flanges, heat exchangers, and turbines.

DECAMAT® – REMOVABLE INSULATION COVERS

Decamat removable insulation covers are quickly and easily installed and removed. They are engineered to perfectly fit irregular shapes and provide optimal insulation in corrosive or neutral atmospheres from temperature ranges of 50°C to 1,000°C and over.

They are designed in such a way that a close fitting to the existing pipe insulation is obtained with an overall even thickness of the entire cover. This results in a reduction of heat loss with a minimum of 90% (compared to a non-insulated, bare surface).

Decamat insulation covers are a must where regular maintenance or repair, quick removal and reinstallation by unskilled labour are required.

DBMAT® - ACOUSTIC INSULATION COVERS

On many industrial sites it is necessary to limit noise levels in order to respect the regulations in force, whether for the protection of workers or neighbours. The most critical sources of noise must therefore receive acoustic treatment.

The Carbone+ solution combines tradition and progress, based on long and solid experience in making removable insulating covers that incorporate the latest research and the most innovative acoustic materials.

In practice, noisy industrial installations have to be insulated from the environment by placing multi-layer, flexible and removable covers, fixed to each other and to the installation. The thickness of these covers varies between 30mm and 100mm, depending on the desired acoustic reduction and the maximum operating temperature of the installation to be insulated (pump, diffuser, compressor, valve, etc.).

PYTEC - FIRE PROTECTION COVERS

PYTEC® fire protection covers are designed to ensure the protection of actuators and cables in a hydrocarbon fire and have been developed for FR 30' and FR 60'.

These covers delay the internal temperature rise in the event of a jet fire and are indispensable where quick removal and reinstallation are essential.

BRIDOCHEM® - MECHANICAL AND CHEMICAL RESISTANT COVER

There are two types of Bridochem: the flexible cover can be made of PVC or FEP (Teflon®). The Bridochem is translucent, UV resistant and reinforced with a polyester mesh. It has an excellent mechanical and chemical resistance from acids and bases, with a temperature resistance of up to 80°C (with the PVC cover) and 120°C with the FEP cover (for highly concentrated acids).

Leak detection is visible without having to remove the cover, and it can be easily and quickly fitted using Velcro strap and polyester laces.

BRIDOFLEX® – FLANGE COVER

The Bridoflex is a stainless-steel band cover, type 316 L, which has a thickness of 0.2mm corrugated along its width. It is wrapped around the flange to avoid any splashing of dangerous fluid.
