The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 20.29% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK power industry during June 2021 over May 2021.
SSE posted 20 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a drop of 47.37% over the previous month, followed by National Grid with 12 jobs and a 50% growth. Siemens with 9 IT jobs and Centrica with 8 jobs, recorded a 200% growth and a 50% decline, respectively, while The Institution of Engineering and Technology recorded a 50% an increase with 6 job postings during June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75%, down by 24.14% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.18% share, a decline of 27.27% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.68% share, down 16.67% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.14%, recording a month-on-month decline of 66.67%.
