North America power industry tenders in November 2021: The US leads activity
Looking at tenders by country, the US led the activity in November 2021 with 176 tenders and a share of 76.5%, down 1.4% over the previous month and down 1% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Canada with 54 tenders and a share of 23.5%.
Looking at the last 12-month average, the US held the top spot with 178 tenders, followed by Canada with 46.

Thermal is top technology area for tenders in November 2021
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, thermal accounted for the largest proportion with 85 tenders and a 76.6% share, followed by solar with 22 tenders and a 19.8% share and hydro with two tenders and a 1.8% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in North America as tracked by GlobalData, Generation Equipment was the most popular segment in November 2021, with 86 tenders, followed by T&D Equipment (85) and Energy Storage (28).
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 157 tenders and a 68.3% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 50 tenders and a 21.7% share
