Danish company Vestas has received a 50MW order from Finnish electricity firm Fortum to deliver 14 units of V126-3.45MW wind turbines for Ånstadblåheia park in Norway.

The 50MW Ånstadblåheia windpower facility is located in the municipality of Sortland in Norway. The unconditional contract includes delivery and installation of turbines at the project site and has been signed alongside an active five-year output management 5000 (AOM5000) service agreement.

Fortum Wind Power's vice-president Philippe Stohr said: “Ånstadblåheia is an excellent wind site and yet another milestone in our strategy to expand within renewable energy.

“Vestas’ continuous technology development, as we see it in V126-3.45 MW’s performance, was key in our decision to choose Vestas for the project.”

With power-optimised modes to 3.6MW, the V126-3.45MW wind turbines will be delivered at the project facility in Q3, 2018.
