Huaneng Power International has raised CNY3bn ($435.13m) through the issue of debentures.

The latest issue is the ninth tranche of public offerings and includes 2.98% super short-term debentures due May 2017. It forms part of its short-term debentures issue totaling CNY30bn ($4.35bn) in value within 24 months in China.

Proceeds from the offering will be used to repay the company’s bank loans and to supplement the working capital.

Eni has partnered with General Electric Company (GE) to develop energy-efficient renewable power projects and hybrid solutions.

The partnership will jointly develop large-scale renewable projects including onshore and offshore wind, solar, hybrid gas-renewable, and waste-to-energy. The companies will undertake electrification of new and existing assets, as well as converting mature or decommissioned industrial assets in a renewable fashion.

ENI will be able to implement its renewable projects through the partnership.

Aviva Investors has bought four windfarm projects with a combined capacity of 60.5MW from UK-based Renewable Energy Systems.

The portfolio includes three completed projects and one under-construction. Renewable Energy Systems will continue to be the operator of the windfarms.

Aviva Investors is a subsidiary of Aviva group.

China General Nuclear Power Corporation and Wintime Energy Co have signed a framework agreement to form a partnership that will develop nuclear power and other clean energy projects worldwide.

The partners will initially develop Lufeng Nuclear phase I project, which comprises two units with a combined capacity of 2,500MW.
