Further details of the project have not been revealed by the company.

Earlier this month, US-based subsidiary Suzlon Wind Energy Corporation (SWECO) has won a service contract extension from EDP Renováveis.

SWECO will continue to operate and maintain the fleet of all 190 units of the S88 2.1MW WTGs, totalling nearly 400MW for one more year.

The turbines are installed across Rattlesnake and Wheatfield in Oregon, Meadow Lake in Indiana and the Kittitas Valley in Washington, US.

SWECO CEO Andy Cukurs said: "This is one of our long-standing customers and we are proud to be partnering with them for deployment of clean energy solutions.

"With more than 2,700MW of installations, making it our second largest region, US will play a pivotal role in our future growth strategy."
