Looking at tenders by country, the US led the activity in May 2022 with 37 tenders and a share of 100%, a flat growth over the previous month and down 72% when compared with the last 12 month-average.
Looking at the last 12-month average, the US held the top spot with 134 tenders, followed by Canada with 35.

Thermal is top technology area for tenders in May 2022
Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, thermal accounted for the largest proportion with three tenders and a 100% share.
Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in North America as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Equipment was the most popular segment in May 2022, with 33 tenders, followed by Generation Equipment (3) and T&D Project (1).
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 31 tenders and an 83.8% share
