"The team will finance and build 747MW CCGT facilities near the communities of Westbrook and Colorado City."

Construction of the first phase of the two-phased power generation development, FGE Texas I (a 2×1 configuration 747MW CCGT facility), will commence in the last quarter of 2014 and reach commercial operations no later than the first quarter of 2017.

The second phase (FGE Texas II) is a mirror image of phase one and is expected to commence construction in early 2015 followed by commercial operations by the third quarter of 2017.

The FGE Texas 1,500MW project will feature Alstom Thermal Power’s next generation KA24-2 power platform and will also allow Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) to address the growing need for clean and sustainable energy resources in Texas.
