Vestas has secured an order from Green Mountain Power to deliver wind turbines for the 65MW Kingdom Community Wind project in Vermont, US.

Under the contract, Vestas will deliver and commission 21 units of V112-3MW wind turbine for the power project.

The order also includes a 15-year service and maintenance agreement.

Vestas will start supplying the wind turbines in the first half of 2012, and the project will be completed by the end of 2012.

Upon completion, the plant will deliver enough power to about 24,000 Vermont homes.
