Tekmar Energy has secured three contracts to supply its TekLink cable protection systems (CPS), cable hang-off clamps (HOC) and cable joint protection to the Hornsea ONE offshore windfarm project in the UK.

Located 120km off the coast of Yorkshire, the project is set to become operational in 2020. It will comprise 174 Siemens 7MW turbines covering an area of around 406km².

“With the current contracts, the company has worked on a total of 60 different offshore windfarm projects.”

Tekmar is required to complete all contractual obligations by the end of 2018.

Having operated in the offshore wind CPS market for the last ten years, Tekmar offers subsea cable, umbilical and flexible pipe protection systems. Its cable Hang-off Clamps are said to provide cable protection, as well as ensure quick and efficient installation.

The TekLink CPS is also designed to provide full protection of power cables both during installation and over their service life.

With the current contracts, the company has worked on a total of 60 different offshore windfarm projects, representing more than 6,000 systems.
