Green hydrogen manufacturer Envision Energy has partnered with Australian developer FERA to initiate large-scale hybrid renewable energy projects across Australia’s National Electricity Market (NEM).
The collaboration will deliver up to 1GW of wind generation capacity and 1.5 gigawatt hours (GWh) of battery energy storage.
The deal increases confidence in its integrated technology platform, which links advanced wind turbines, containerised battery systems, grid-forming power conversion systems (PCS) and a hybrid power plant controller (HPPC).
Envision Energy international product line senior vice-president and president Kane Xu stated: “This collaboration represents a major step forward in demonstrating how hybrid wind and storage solutions can unlock new possibilities for Australia’s energy future.
“We are honoured by the trust FERA Australia has placed in our technical capabilities across wind, storage and grid integration, and we look forward to delivering projects that set new benchmarks for clean, flexible power.”
A pilot project will be launched in Victoria as part of the collaboration. It will feature Envision’s full converter wind turbine, grid-forming battery storage and advanced HPPC technology in a grid-connected hybrid plant.
