1.48GWh storage partnership to drive Europe’s energy transition forward

The partnership aims to stabilise power systems in renewable-heavy Nordic markets.

EVE Energy and Swedish energy storage system integrator Vimab BESS have signed a three-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) setting out plans to deploy 1.48 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of energy storage projects across northern Europe to bolster regional energy security and advance the continent’s energy transition.

The collaboration unites EVE Energy’s technological capabilities with Vimab’s project development experience to address the growing need for grid flexibility in renewable-rich Nordic markets. As wind and solar power capacity expand, the region faces challenges balancing intermittent generation with rising electricity demand. Large-scale storage is emerging as a critical tool to stabilise prices and ensure reliable power supply.

Under the terms of the MoU, EVE Energy will supply high-performance battery systems and provide technical support to Vimab BESS for project execution in Sweden and neighbouring countries. The first batch of orders is scheduled for delivery in December, underscoring both companies’ shared commitment to rapid implementation.
