Enfinity Global and E Energy Invest, the investment arm of the Strioga Family Foundation, have signed a co-investment partnership for a 150MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Livorno, Tuscany, Italy.

Enfinity Global will remain responsible for completing the project’s remaining development and construction activities.

The company will also act as the long-term asset manager after completion.

The project, which features a four-hour storage duration, offers a total storage capacity of 600MW-hours (MWh).

The facility is part of Enfinity Global’s 6.7GW battery energy storage portfolio in Italy.

Enfinity Global CEO Carlos Domenech said: “We are pleased to welcome Strioga Family Foundation as a strategic partner in this project.

“This partnership reflects Enfinity Global’s ability to connect long-term capital with the energy transformation Europe needs, leveraging its integrated energy platform to deploy critical storage infrastructure.”

The company said the projects aim to strengthen grid flexibility and enable greater integration of renewable energy sources nationwide.

Its integrated solar and storage platform in Italy includes more than 1GW of signed power purchase agreements, energy contracts under the Energy Release 2.0 programme and capacity secured in FER X auctions.

Enfinity Global has recently attracted other equity partners to its Italian platform, including the sovereign wealth fund of Azerbaijan and additional undisclosed parties, for assets totalling more than 1.1GW within the last year.

The Strioga Family Foundation has entered the Italian energy market through this transaction.

Strioga Family Foundation CEO Gediminas Uloza said: “We have actively been seeking for partnerships with Europe’s leading renewable energy platforms, and we are very pleased to partner with the Italian market expert Enfinity Global on this BESS opportunity.”

Enfinity Global was advised on the deal by Advant NCTM, while the Strioga Family Foundation received advice from Green Horse and Natural Power.

In October 2025, Enfinity Global signed an equity and development agreement with a European investor to complete a 486MW BESS in Italy.
