Power System Stability and Control by Dr Prabha Kundur

The course is based on Dr Kundur’s book, which is a standard modern reference in the field. Network and system planners and operators attending the course will enhance their understanding of theory and practice of system stability and control and mitigation of system oscillations after contingencies.

Power System Protection by Charles Henville

Power system engineers responsible for ensuring proper protection who wants to apply and set protective relays for reliable operation during short circuits and system disturbances should attend this course.

The course will enable engineers to understand the strengths and limitations of common transmission and distribution protection systems. Provided is basic and advanced training in fault studies and power system protection presented by the field specialist holding more than 30 years’ experience.

Reliability of Distribution Networks and Smart Grids by Puica Nitu

Presented by the co-founder of the Canadian Institute World Energy System, this course introduces the main building blocks of the reliability of distribution networks. A separate section is dedicated to smart grids stressing new capabilities and smart tools. The course speaks to network and system planners, management of distribution utilities as well as member of the academia.

With guest speaker Lina Bertling Tjernberg, professor in sustainable electric power systems at Chalmers University of Technology.

Reglerteknik för processindustrin med Krister Forsman

This course will be given in Swedish.

Kursen riktar sig till användare av reglertekniken i processindustrin. Syftet är att överbrygga klyftan mellan teoretisk reglerteknik och praktiska tillämplingar.

I kursen ingår trimning av PI-regulatorer, val av reglersturktur för vanligt förekommande processsteg och felsökning i processkretsar. Dessutom diskuteras hur processinformationssystem kan användas för optimering och visualisering för driftpersonal.
