Wood Group GTS has signed a six-year contract with PlusPetrol Energy to provide maintenance services for two General Electric Frame 9E DLN-1 gas turbines at the Central Termica San Miguel de Tucuman power plant in El Bracho, Argentina. The contract is valued at approximately US$15m.
Wood Group GTS’ work scope includes supplying 9E DLN-1 combustion and hot gas path capital parts, outage consumables, parts for Speedtronic Mark V controls systems and the repair of combustion and hot gas path capital parts. The contract also includes monitoring and diagnostics and field services during scheduled and unscheduled outages.
The Central Termica San Miguel de Tucuman power plant supplies electricity to the 500kV grid system. It is one of three plants owned and operated by PlusPetrol Energy in Argentina.
