Wood Group GTS has been awarded a contract estimated to be worth up to $4.5 million by Consorcio Camisea to provide overhaul and technical support for eight Solar Centaur® 50 SoLoNOx gas turbines in two Peruvian gas plants.

Wood Group GTS will deliver a turnkey project of major overhauls, logistics, commissioning, tuning, and engineering surveillance on these turbine-generator packages at the Malvinas and Pisco gas processing facilities onshore in Peru. Ongoing production maintenance support is provided by Wood Group GTSs sister company Wood Group Peru.

The new contract follows Wood Group GTS’s successful delivery/provision of overhaul and rotating equipment engineering services on a Solar Centaur 50 SoLoNOx gas turbine for Consorcio Camisea in 2009.

Mark Papworth, CEO, Wood Group GTS, said: “Wood Group GTS is committed to continuing the responsive, production-centered maintenance services to Consorcio Camisea and its vital Peru-based operations. Our focus on the DLN program has produced multiple successes in serving the Centaur 50 and Taurus® 60 SoLoNOX customer base, from advanced field troubleshooting and tuning to full turbine exchange and overhaul services. This is the fastest growing part of our portfolio with multi-unit term contracts in the US, Canada, Europe, and now Peru.”

“Wood Group GTS has proved themselves as a dependable service provider throughout our previous contract and we look forward to continuing to work with them and fostering a strong partnership,” said Julio Cesar Ramirez, maintenance manager from Consorcio Camisea.
