NAG Marine of Norfolk, Virginia and Turner Design Hydrocarbon Instruments of Fresno, California introduced its new TD-107 OCM at OTC in Houston. Using fluorescence technology, the TD-107 reportedly shows an exceptional ability to distinguish suspended oil from non-harmful turbidity in bilge water.

This feature enables ship and boat crews to operate their oil pollution abatement equipment more reliably, and promises substantial savings in maintenance time and consumables for vessels of all sizes.

Turner and NAG Marine have teamed to bring fluorescence technology to the maritime industry, and recently received IMO MEPC 107(49) US Coast Guard certification for the TD-107.
